| FDA 510 (k) clearance for CryoSC product range | |

Biosafe announces that it has received 510(k) clearance from the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) for its proprietary CryoSC freeze bag product range for quality cryogenic storage of cellular products. The FDA approval includes both the CryoSC-S single compartment and CryoSC-D double compartment cryobags. This additional FDA approval marks an important milestone for Biosafe extending its footing in the US market from a regulatory stand point to complement the versatile product offerings for adult stem cell processing, in particular the Sepax system. |

In 2009, banking of hematopoietic stem cells for allogenic use became a national priority for the French government. In that year, the French cord blood network already included five public banks: Besancon, Bordeaux, St Louis, Lyon and Grenoble which together have been able to collect and validate a total of 7500 cord blood units for the international registry – all made available for transplant to treat patients in need. | FDA Class 1 registration for SepaxRM in the US | |

Biosafe announces the FDA registration of its SepaxRM system for adult stem cell processing as a class I device for the US market. As laboratory equipment, the device is exempt from 510 (k) pre-market notification. The SepaxRM cell separation system allows safe and efficient processing of cellular products such as bone marrow aspirate, aphaeresis product or peripheral blood for various applications in the field of regenerative medicine. |
